Hideki Matsuhisa

Hideki Matsuhisa was born in Toyota, Japan, and was forged in the art of Japanese cuisine, first in his father's restaurant and then in various restaurants in Tokyo.

In 1997 he moved to Barcelona and imported the aroma of Japanese cuisine to the Catalan capital.  He became head chef and co-owner of Shunka (2001), a typical Japanese tavern in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, and Koy Shunka (2008; awarded a Michelin star in 2012), the gourmet and sophisticated version of the former. With these credentials Hideki Matsuhisa arrives at Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa with an original proposal, full of the best tradition of Japanese cuisine.

The gastronomic menu designed for Koy Hermitage masterfully combines Japanese culinary tradition and techniques, fresh and high quality products and local raw materials.
Sport Hotels Resort & Spa is delighted to welcome Hideki Matsuhisa and his team of chefs and invites all guests and visitors to discover a corner of Japan in the mountains of Andorra: Koy Hermitage.
